Fairfax Academy GCSE 2024: Following a set of strong A Level results last week, students at FAIRFAX Academy in Sutton Coldfield, founding school of the Fairfax Multi-Academy Trust, are celebrating another successful year of GCSE performance.
High standards have been maintained across all core subjects. 80% of students achieved grade 4 and above in English, over 79% achieved grade 4 and above in Mathematics and over 79% of students achieved two Science GCSEs at grade 4 or above.

In addition, the number of Grade 9s achieved by Fairfax Academy students has risen, and the vast majority of subjects have increased grades on previous years.
Principal, Sean Castle, said: “Congratulations to all of our students. This year’s GCSE students have faced significant disruption throughout their five years of secondary education. The fact that we have seen such excellent individual performances, is testament to the students’ diligence and hard work.
“Thank you to our staff for their commitment and dedication to ensuring that students are supported throughout their time at Fairfax and thank you to our parents and carers for their continued support. We are extremely proud of the students and wish them every success in the next stages of their employment, education and training. Going through Clearing to get into a university isn’t always a bad thing.

Moving onto the next step is a very personal thing, so giving yourself time to breathe could give you a whole new perspective.

Despite the reassurance, sometimes the stress of the situation can get you down.
