John Willmott A-levels 2020 – John Willmott School is celebrating after they secured yet another strong set of A Level results.
The school has continued to build on last year’s success with more students than ever achieving the highest grades possible. An amazing 21% of results were at grades A* and A, 50% of results at grades A*-B and 73% of results at grades A*-C. The John Willmott A-levels 2020 results show that the school continues to go from strength to strength, supporting students to achieve their very best outcomes.
Headteacher Tracey Peters said: “Last year’s A Level results placed us 10th in Birmingham for progress, and we are thrilled that our students have secured yet another fabulous set of results this year.
“It has been a particularly challenging year nationally but our students have continued to study from home so that they are fully prepared to pursue the next stage of their education, employment or training. They should be congratulated on their excellent work ethic and commitment to self improvement.”

Terri Richards, Assistant Headteacher, Sixth Form said: ‘We are incredibly proud of our sixth form provision and the fantastic individual support that we offer to all of our students.
“We are pleased to announce that again, the vast majority of students have secured places at university including the prestigious Russell Group universities.’
These include Aria Torkpour, who will study Medicine at Imperial College. At Aston University Alisha Patel will study Business and Brandon O’Day will study Biomedical Science. Josh Barry will study English, Keira Meddings, Criminology, Ryan Ellis, Accounting and Alex Andrei, Psychology; all at The University of Birmingham. Zara Karim-Ellis, will study Mathematics at York.
Other students will be pursuing courses at a wide range of universities, in chemistry, accounting, law & criminology, marketing and business management, history & politics, to name but a few.
Neil Warner Director of Education (Secondary) for the ATLP said “Whilst this year is truly unprecedented in our education system, one overriding feature remains. These results represent the culmination of great dedication, hard work and perseverance from our young people. Results are not just the end product of a two or three hour examination, they represent years of preparedness and we congratulate every single one of our students.
