WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR GCSE STUDENTS, SAYS PLANTSBROOK HEAD

Students at Plantsbrook School in Sutton Coldfield have been told they should be proud of their efforts after picking up ‘great’  GCSE results at the end of a challenging academic year.

The school, in Upper Holland Road, welcomed Year 11 students in staggered groups throughout the morning, allowing them to pick up their results in the sunshine.

Headteacher Tracy Campbell said: “Our Y11 students have worked hard over a number of years and have been rewarded with some great results. They should be proud of everything that they have achieved. I know I am!

“This has been an incredibly challenging few months with many ups and downs. Some results were pulled at a national level as late as yesterday evening and this will have been very unsettling for some.

“I know that so many of them are happy and relieved. Their teachers and other support staff have done an amazing job and our families have been very supportive through these tough times.

“We are looking forward to welcoming lots of them back in to our Sixth Form,” she added.
